Privacy policy

Last updated: August 18, 2026

The short version

You do not need an account to use MathLessons.com, and we do not ask you for your name, email or any other personal detail to read a lesson. We show advertising, and advertising involves third parties who may set cookies. Because this site is intended for students, we ask our advertising partners to serve non-personalised ads only.

Who we are

This policy covers the website at mathlessons.com. You can reach us at[email protected] with any question about it.

What we collect

Nothing you type. There are no accounts, no logins, no comment boxes and no contact forms on this site. We do not collect names, email addresses, dates of birth, school details or any other information you would have to enter.

Basic usage information. Like most websites, our host records standard technical information when a page is requested, such as the page address, the time, the browser type and an IP address. This is used to keep the site running and secure.

Aggregate analytics. We may use a privacy-focused analytics service that counts page views without cookies and without building a profile of individual visitors.

Advertising

This site is funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense, and Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads.

Because this site is intended for students, we have configured our advertising to request non-personalised ads. Non-personalised ads are based on the content of the page you are reading and general location, rather than on a profile of your past browsing. Cookies may still be used for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention.

You can review how Google uses information from sites that use its services atpolicies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and manage ad settings atmyadcenter.google.com.

Children's privacy

MathLessons.com is written for school students, including children under 13, and we treat the whole site as directed to children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. There is nowhere on this site for a child to submit personal information, because the site has no accounts, forms or uploads.

Under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), operators of child-directed services face additional restrictions on collecting personal information and on behavioural advertising. This is why we request non-personalised advertising rather than interest-based advertising.

If you believe a child has somehow provided us with personal information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

Cookies

We do not set cookies for logins or tracking, because there is nothing to log in to. Cookies on this site come from our advertising partner, as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the lessons will continue to work normally if you do.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information about you, and to object to certain processing — for example under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA/CPRA in California. Since we do not hold accounts or profiles, in most cases we will have nothing about you to act on, but you are welcome to ask us at[email protected].

Third-party links

Lessons link to outside sources, such as the official Common Core standards website. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this policy does not cover them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
